Epidemic(名詞)流行病
Starting from Dec. 1, all passengers arriving in Taiwan without proof of a negative coronavirus test will receive heavy fines between NT$10,000 and NT$ 150,000, said the Central Epidemic Command Center. This is based on CECC’s winter epidemic prevention protocol. All travelers to Taiwan, regardless of their nationality or purpose of arrival, will be required to present a negative coronavirus test within three days of their departure.
criminal liability(名詞)刑事責任
In a regular press conference, Health Minister Chen Shih-chung emphasized that violators will not be eligible for the government’s quarantine subsidy and may be subject to criminal liability if they infect another person with coronavirus. Exceptions are granted to people who come to Taiwan for emergency or have difficulty obtaining a COVID-19 test in their residing countries.
